Leather care

Leather is one of the most beautiful natural materials which has been used for thousands of years, it is known for its durability and can last a lifetime if proper care is taken. Proper care of leather protects it from excessive dryness and moisture, which may cause it to swell or mildew. The following things need to be done to make your leather bag a lifetime utility accessory.

  • Store your leather bag away from direct sunlight in a porous cotton bag.
  • Avoid placing light colours next to dark colours of leather as this may cause colour migration which is irreversible.
  • Condition leather in order to prevent dryness and cracking 3 to 4 times a year with a cheesecloth and leather conditioner to facilitate durability, shine and increase the natural beauty of the bag
  • Avoid spraying perfume or any thing with alcohol near your leather bag as this can loosen the colour in the leather.
  • Fresh stains can be wiped with a damp cloth. While those from oil or grease can be cleaned by grinding ordinary blackboard chalk, sprinkling the area and leaving the powder for 24 hours.
  • Suede which has been rain marked should be allowed to dry naturally and the brushed with a suede brush.
